Speaking at Search Engine Strategies Chicago (KrisJones.com)

SES Chicago

I’ll be speaking on two panels @ Search Engine Strategies (SES) Chicago next week.

The event is being held at the Chicago Hilton on Michigan Avenue. I believe this will be the fourth or fifth year in a row that I’ll be speaking at this particular show. :)

This year I’ll be moderating a panel on Competitive Research and speaking on a panel entitled “Is SEO Dead?

The Competitive Research panel includes the same dynamic speakers that I shared the stage with a few months back at SES San Francisco, including Eli Goodman, Chief Search Evangelist from comScore (NASDAQ – SCOR), Bill Leake, CEO, Apogee Search, and Mark Monroe, Director of Search Audience, MerchantCircle. We will cover soup to nuts in terms of available tools (free and paid), as well as strategies for digging up information on the competition. Honestly, this panel was one of the most enjoyable I’ve ever been on – the speakers are great and the feedback we received from the 400+ standing room only crowd in San Fran was exceptional. It won’t want to be missed in Chicago!

I mean come on – who wouldn’t want to attend a panel with a title like “Is SEO Dead?” In fact, I noticed our moderator (Mike Grehan, Chair SES Advisory Board, Global VP Content, SES/Search Engine Watch/ClickZ) just added a further tagline to an already sexy title – it’s now….”SEO is Dead: Long live SEO!” heck, I would attend this one on title alone, but there is even more of a reason to attend – the speakers are best of class and include Bruce Clay, President, Bruce Clay, Inc., Todd Friesen, Director of SEO, Performics, Eric Enge, President, Stone Temple Consulting, and ME.

Definitely looking forward to Chicago. I’ll be getting into town on Monday and staying through Wednesday – if you will be there I hope we can connect.

BTW – in terms of what’s next for the speaking circuit….after SES Chicago I’ll be speaking on an M&A panel the first week of November moderated by long-time friend, fellow angel investor, and CrazyEgg / KISSmetrics founder Neil Patel @ the BlueGlass Conference in Florida…then the following week I’ll be doing a solo spotlight session @ PubCon in Las Vegas. In between I’ll be participating in an author book signing in PA @ the Westmoreland Club.
