Completed 1 hour and 32 minutes of Yoga X today!
Today starts Week 8 of P90X for Robyn and I.
The routine changes so all this week we are doing Yoga, Core Synergistics, and Kenpo X with one day of Stretch.
The first 45 minutes or so of Yoga X are the most challenging since the first part of the routine focuses on strength – lots of awkward moves (upward / downward dog)…..and you hold positions for quite some time. At one point you hold a pirouette for what seems like 10 minutes…..and then you switch legs – not easy…..
The second half of the Yoga workout is easy and in some respects seems a bit pointless since all it focuses on is balance postures. I mean (not to be too negative since that’s not my style) I’m doing P90X to get in shape (i.e. build strength and muscle and lose fat), not necessarily become a ballerina!
Oh well…..we have to do Yoga X again on Wednesday or Thursday.
